People walking on Notre Dame Campus

Whether you’ve never been to campus before, or have been here a thousand times, parking on campus isn’t always easy. Luckily, we’ve put together the top tips to make parking a breeze - no matter if you’re here for dinner, a walk or run, or attending a private event.

  1. Visitor Parking is available in the Walsh Visitor Lot, Compton Lot, Joyce Lot and Baseball Lot from 6 a.m. - 4 p.m. Visitors must use the ParkMobile app to pay for hourly parking. If you’re visiting after 4 p.m, the lots are free.

  2. Heading to the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore? You can park there for free for up to 90 minutes - just the perfect amount of time to load up on all of the latest Fighting Irish merch.

  3. Coming to a private event on campus? You can park in the Bookstore West lot. Just pull up to the front drive of Morris Inn, mention your event name and request an access code and hangtag. Guests can also park in any of the Visitor Parking lots mentioned above.

  4. If a drink with Murf or dinner at Rohr’s is on your schedule, Morris Inn’s parking lot might be the spot for you. Located right on Notre Dame Avenue, this parking lot is based on availability and reserved for Rohr’s guests and overnight hotel guests.

  5. Not sure if it’ll take you 5, 10 or 15 minutes to walk from the Grotto to Notre Dame Stadium? Use the Experience Notre Dame Walking Guide as you explore our pedestrian friendly campus.

Pro Tip: There are dozens of 90 minute spots throughout all campus lots. Look for them in front of Main Building, near the Basilica, Grace Hall, and other buildings, for a good place to park when you’re on campus for a short period of time.

Bonus Pro Tip: Did you know Morris Inn is connected to McKenna Hall via underground concourse? Just head down the stairs behind Cafe J and stay dry (and warm!) no matter the season.
