"Outlined against a blue-gray October sky the Four Horsemen rode again." On October 18, 1924, Grantland Rice, a sportswriter for the New York Herald-Tribune penned these poetic lines after Notre Dame upset Army 13-7 at the Polo Grounds in New York City.
 
The Fighting Irish are commemorating the 100th anniversary of the most famous passage in the history of sports journalism with a return to New York City to take on Army West Point Black Knights. The game will be held on November 23, 2024, at Yankee Stadium as part of the Shamrock Series.

Schedule of Events

As with prior Shamrock Series games, the weekend will feature more than just a football game. Notre Dame will host academic panel discussions, Mass, fan-centric events featuring the Notre Dame Marching Band, cheerleaders, and leprechaun, and a community service project led by the Notre Dame Alumni Association. The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore will be on site with exclusive Shamrock Series merchandise and branded Notre Dame gear.

There are sure to be surprises as well. At the 2022 Shamrock Series in Las Vegas, Notre Dame lit up the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign green. A complete list of public events will be listed here as they are released.
