Bagpipe Band

Bagpipe Band walking past Touchdown Jesus

Leading the Fighting Irish

It is a distinct, unmistakable sound that can be heard all across campus on home game Saturdays.

The Notre Dame Bagpipe Band’s rendition of “Scotland the Brave” has become Notre Dame’s battle hymn, in a way, as it is the song played to lead in the Fighting Irish as they prepare to take on their opponent of the day.

The kilt clad group of fourteen plays this song along the Player Walk route, heading south from Hesburgh Library to the Knute Rockne Gate of Notre Dame Stadium. They begin tuning on Library Quad just after the Glee Club wraps up their performance.  Be sure to grab a spot early for the Player Walk to enjoy the sounds of the Bagpipe Band! Below are the locations and times of their performances based on home game kickoff times.
