2024 Experience Notre Dame Hospitality Showcase

The Oxford Dictionary defines hospitality as “the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.” With that in mind, the Experience Notre Dame team hosted the inaugural Hospitality Showcase, designed to demonstrate to campus planners and partners how Experience Notre Dame can make their meeting or event vision come to life.

Members from the business development, event operations, Morris Inn, events, Three Leaf, Legends, and retail catering teams had displays and tastings of their prime offerings - creating the perfect opportunity for networking, learning and munching. Guests were encouraged to browse, taste, and chat with every group showcased at the event, while also getting their “passport” stamped at every stop. Chefs from Three Leaf, Three Leaf Pastry and Campus Dining created live cooking demonstrations, and there were real-time walkthroughs of the new Experience Notre Dame website.

Come along to envision the journey our guests took to experience Notre Dame.

Experience Notre Dame Meetings and Events

Our Business Development team greeted guests at the table, many of which they have helped plan events for. They shared pertinent information, such as what event venues are available on campus, venue specifications, and the correct way to book events. With over 31 spaces on campus available to book, internal planners were able to envision how these spaces can work for their future events and clients.

Legends of Notre Dame Catering

Another “Legendary” group that showcased their unique catering was Legends of Notre Dame. Legends is an integral piece of the tradition celebrated at the University, providing excellent hospitality to students and guests alike for over two decades. The team displayed a handful of their catering offerings, including a mouthwatering elote dip, a colorful platter of fresh vegetables, and more.

Notre Dame Family Wines

Notre Dame Family Wines showcased their partnership with the new Raclin Murphy Museum of Art at the Hospitality Showcase. Guests learned how they could purchase single bottles, feature the wine at their next meeting or event, or even join the club themselves for wine delivered right to their door.

Dessert Demonstration from Chef Sinai Vespie, Executive Pastry Chef at Three Leaf

If you have ever indulged in one of Chef Sinai’s decadent desserts, you can imagine how popular the pastry demonstration station was. Chef Sinai took the audience through a baking demonstration of a luscious chocolate mousse dessert. Topics such as cooking temperatures, cooking utensils, and how we can limit waste when baking were discussed. The best part of the demo? The samples at the end, of course!

Experience Notre Dame Team

The Experience Notre Dame team is fortunate to provide a high-level of hospitality to anyone that experiences Notre Dame. This would not be possible without the diligent and talented work carried out by all members of our team. Hear below about some of their favorite parts of the event!

"It's always great when we have an opportunity to make new connections from different departments on campus. It's also fun to have a chance to showcase some of our skills, and increase awareness of some of our offerings."

                            - Josh Maron, Executive Chef at Legends

"With Experience Notre Dame being so new, it was awesome to showcase all of our offerings at Foley's under one roof. We are excited about the year ahead!"

                          - Laura O'Brien, Marketing Program Manager

"In a world where most of our incoming business is handled through digital resources, it was great to have the chance to see our partners from campus face-to-face at this event. My favorite part of our Hospitality Showcase was being able to have conversations, share our unique venues/options and to answer questions in person. It was not only just about business development, but building lasting relationships."

                            - Heather Goralski, Senior Sales Specialist

Whether you are planning to dine, stay, explore, cheer or gather at Notre Dame, be sure to keep our friendly faces in mind!
