-

Location: 100 Jordan Hall of Science (Digital Visualization Theater)

A once-in-a lifetime nova event — so bright it can be seen from Earth — occurs about every 80 years. T Coronae Borealis, called the "Blaze Star" and known to astronomers as T Cor Bor, is composed of a white dwarf and an ancient red giant that is slowly stripped of hydrogen by the gravitational pull of the dwarf … until it the material explodes. Join us in our planetarium to learn how to spot the event with your own eyes.
